Just to corroborate, prelim ranks for 3A/4A were:

1-Dowling
2-O'Gorman
3-Washington

Really close scores throughout - and groups really stepped things up for finals.

--

Soloists in a show:
female: Maria Niechwiadowicz, Washington
male: John Carey, Dowling

Solo competition:
female: Maria Niechwiadowicz, Washington
male: Aaron Allen, Washington

I would so give you an SCC dollar for spelling Maria's last name if there were such a thing.

AHHH I COMPLETELY FORGOT!

The best female and male soloist in the solo competition were Maria and Aaron from Sioux Falls Washington. I did not catch their last names. They will be performing at 6:30, not the best soloists from the actual shows.
I didn't tell Ethan that, sorry!

I was upset that he didn't announce 3A/4A results. From what I saw during the day, I'd say it went
GC: Dowling
1RU: Sioux Falls Washington
2RU: Sioux Falls O'Gorman

BUT THOSE AREN'T OFFICIAL.

Sorry I didn't catch the last names of the soloists, it was rather loud in there.

Wow. A very small competition this year. But with being small, the playing field seems pretty even. No major powers with a guaranteed GC. Should be an interesting day. I am not for sure if I am coming to this yet, but I will see.

Only 9 groups competing for 5 spots.

My Predictions:

GC: Dowling 'Dimensions' (Best Vocals)
1RU: Sioux Falls Washington 'Classic Connection' (Best Choreography)
2RU: Sioux Falls O'Gorman 'Ovation'
3RU: Lawton Bronson 'Momentum'
4RU: SF Washington 'Stagelights'

(To be honest, 4RU is a mystery to me)

Hmmm, Ethan Price, I'm suprised you even had to ask, OF COURSE you should! It's a smaller one this year but it'll be great
And IIIIII'll be there, so if you get bored, you can always say, "MEGAN! What's there to do around here?" If you can find me of course.

welllll maybe i could possibly get this 10 digit number that would enhance the probability of me finding you?

The competition had been held in the gym until... 2007 I think, when it moved into the auditorium.
You literally CANNOT miss it when you walk in
Someone confirmed today that they are hosting Lawton's room so I think they're coming! I don't have a schedule but I know one is floating around somewhere and I can probably get it tonight. But our director said the competition doesn't start until around 10:00 a.m.

It was in the auditorium in 2008. But, it was in the gym in 2004.

from the videos i've seen of this competition, i would venture to say that the competition is held in the gym. i don't know from experience though... the one time we were scheduled to come here we got snowed out....

I don't think a schedule has been released yet... but I'm so excited for this comp! I''m going to hopefully be able to watch all day!
I know that SF Washington and SF O'Gorman are supposed to be coming, along with Dowling Catholic High from Des Moines... Lawton Bronson is also rumored to be attending but not sure on that one...
