I don't remember the raw score results from Johnston from last year and definitely don't spend a lot of time analyzing the results for choirs other than my own.

One thing though...do you know if this same judge scored all of the other groups ten points lower than the other judges? Some judges just tend to have a lower baseline score.

I remember hearing there was a judge that he starts off at 5 points and then goes down or up from there depending on the show. While it might seem "unfair" and look lower then other points when you analize that is how he scored everyone else in the competition. I think that we realized that at Urbandale my senior year (not saying anything bad about Urbandale. Still was my favorite competition i ever attended)

Hastings is, by far, one of the funnest groups to compete against. Never a dull moment in the gym with them around, that's for sure. (Heelan 2009)

yes i'm not exactly sure how other schools were judged i guess. but we went first in finals and that is always part of shaky scoring-not the judges fault. so yeah tomorrow in hasting's room. be there :D i'm the dj by the way. you'll know what i mean when you see our show

I would assume they were the only ones with a low score if there was thought to be some type of injustice....but assuming is bad so you never know

I have to say I am SO PUMPED for tomorrow!!! I am 6 years out of school and have enjoyed coming back to watch the Johnston Showzam invitational every year! It should be an intense competition, and I think the end results will be extremely close! Best of luck to everyone competing, I'll be cheering for all of you!!

haha yes last year. and the year before. my brother was (is) pretty much obsessed with show choir and he got the results. one judge scored us 10 points lower than the others. haha i'm way pumped for hastings. i sat by a hastings mom last year and she was way tight. and valley and hastings have a little dance off thing. so thats always a plus :D i'm voting for hastings to win haha. well there aren't votes i guess but you get what i mean.

Yayyyy! Well thanks! We've definitely missed our little "choralation company" dance parties (there's a facebook group caused by the bonding of our choirs at gretna last year) it will be fun to reunite and I guess hastings moms can be pretty awesome lol
