Congrats to Mr. Gerking and the Rebelaires on the GC. Fun fact: Westwood has only NOT won GC at Hinton ONCE in the history of the competition.
Definitely surprised by these results. Though I wasn't there so I didn't see how each group performed. Congratulations to Bishop Heelan on capping off a struggling year with a GC and to Westwood, also having a struggling year, on grabbing 1RU. And another congrats to Center Point Urbana. What a season you had! Beating groups like Muscatine! Impressive to say the least. I certainly hope you come back to NW Iowa next year! (Though many not to Hinton; they seem to give you troubles.)
OH. And a HUGE congratulations to Sheldon. I think, from what I know anyway, this was their first finals in quite a few years! (Last time I remember them making finals anywhere was when Okoboji held a competition.. back in like 06. Woofta!)

I might come down for late daytime and part of finals. I work at 10PM but it's about a 12 minute drive from my house to Hinton high school so it could work.
First time in almost five years that LeMars hasn't made the 15 mile drive south to Hinton. Kinda sad.
Early Predictions that will probably change:
GC. Center Point Urbana
1RU. Bishop Heelan
2RU. Westwood
3RU. Sheldon
4RU. Carroll
5RU. Sioux Center
Top three are set. They could switch positions, but top three will be these groups.
3RU-5RU will be a very interesting match up. I saw Sheldon's show at state contest and was very impressed, where as Sioux Centers isn't nearly as good as past years. Carroll is also a mystery to me but they've kinda faltered a bit over the past two years.
I love to see CPU coming back to NW Iowa every year.
