This is a question for anyone in headliners. I lost a part of my necklace. Its a silver circle with a star inside of that. if anyone has seen it please let me know
I haven't heard if part of a necklace has been found, but I'll ask our directors and show choir moms if they've found anything like that. Hopefully they will have found it, I'll let you know!

Now that I actually have some time, I wanted to just comment on some things from this past weekend.
First off, bravo to Heath Weber and the Sioux City Hosts! You were some of the most helpful hosts we've had this year, and Heath your group was a class act.
I also want to add that I had my wisdom teeth taken out 2 days prior to this competition, and they were really hurting me on Saturday, so I was loaded up on pain killers, so if someone saw me sleeping during a group...well, I'm sorry!!
Headliners:
Bottom line, you are the best show choir I've seen all season. You were INCREDIBLE. Choreographically spectacular. The thing about Mike Weaver's choreography is that it can look GOOD executed almost any way. You had FINESSE, and made it stylistically appropriate. The Hairspray number was a lot of fun, and so was the closer. Vocally you were the best I've seen you, congrats on a great year.
I just need to add to all of the results from the day that Brooke Colby from Sioux Falls O'Gorman Ovation! was best female soloist in a show -- and she was the best!
So.....finals were done by scoring not ranking am I correct?
Somewhat.
Some judges had more weight than others, if I remember the sheet correctly.
I know that they scored each category, then weighted each category based on scores on a percentage scale of 100. So when Waukee was 1.something away from GCS it was really 1.something% away from GCS. It was still rediculously close!! I will probably get the night time scores and post them sometime this week.
Rankings meant absolutely nothing at this competition though!
Many thanks to all the groups, directors, friends and family who attended our invitational on Saturday. We were delighted to welcome you to our building and host such fantastic groups. As I stated earlier, it was a small but salty competition and it was great to see such high levels of performance. I am constantly amazed at what is happening in show choir today. There was such dedication to wonderful singing, excellent dancing and innovative staging. Thank you for being such wonderful students! It was truly our pleasure to host you.
If you have misplaced anything, please let us know. We have a few unclaimed items, but not many. We will happily look around for you, however after a thorough cleaning Saturday evening into Sunday morning, we did not come up with much.
I know that many of you celebrated your last competitions on Saturday. I hope our invitational was a wonderful way to end your show choir career. We were blessed to have such great performers. The very close scores reflected the fact that EVERYONE was achieving musical and choregraphic excellence. Thanks to you and your directors for working so hard to making magic on stage. It is certainly a cliche, but completely truthful!
