We were in Davenport for basically the whole weekend. Lets just say that I love happy Joes. Lol. It was a lot of fun being in the hotels and just hanging out with people. We were really sad that the weather ruined it, but we still had fun with the choir portion of it.
The judges were really good about working with us, and I guess they were happy that someone showed up.
I don't think that if the Big Dance is on the 24th, that any of the Ankeny show choirs will make an appearance. We really wanted to perform and such, I'm just sorry for the choir that showed up before knowing that it was cancelled.
WELL it was still a fun weekend. If it does get rescheduled I wish all of the groups the best of luck!
That's awesome that the judges worked with the group. At least one positive thing occurred out of the weekend. Props to Ankeny!

I also think Waconia "requested" that Rewierts reschedule it to the 24th because it would be the best date for them.
We would love to come back on the 24th but unfortunately that is the weekend of our homeshow. Sorry but Waconia will not be able to come the 10th, 24th, or 17th for that matter. We are booked every weekend in March. We are very disapointed as we have been looking forward to our return to the Big Dance. I guess it will just have to wait. I encourage all other groups to attend as this is a great contest.
Not sure where you heard that rumor about us requesting that date but thought I would set the record straight right away.

How are groups doing? Did anybody get stuck in Davenport? I heard a few groups did get stuck in Cedar Rapids at Kennedy, so I wondered if anywhere else was the same way.
Ankeny is still in Davenport due to Public buses not being able to travel with a certain percentage of ice....sooo who knows how long they will be there....lol At least they are safe in a hotel
