Here is how the points were awarded to Wisconsin Show Choirs last night.

Onalaska Hilltoppers^^ - BV(15) + BC(12) + BB(10) + ^(5) + GC(100) = 142

Memorial Old Abe^ - 2RU(80) = 80

Chippewa Falls Chi-Hi - 3RU(70) = 70

Monona Silver Connection - 4RU(60) = 60

Onalaska Express - 5RU(50) = 50

Mayville Cardinal Singers - 6RU(40)= 40

DePere Jam Session - 7RU(30) = 30

Great start to the season by Onalaska, both groups. Hilltoppers for their sweep and Express for their first appearance on the rankings. Great start for several other groups as well. Can't wait to see how the averages shape up after the first few competitions.

By the way, does anyone have the info for prep groups? I would like to start ranking Prep as well as Open class.

Wtf happened to Mayville?

Janaury 9th is an early date for some groups. I know for a fact if a few groups I have worked with competed on this date, they might not make finals at all. A lot happens in these 2-3 weeks... they are crucial for some show choir's growth. Maybe Mayville wasn't quite firing on all cylinders yet. It happens to many groups early on.

Is this performance order? Or do we know performance order?

Also was the plan to take 8 finalists? That's a lot.

edit: Apparently a score sheet was misplaced which resulted in the addition of an extra choir to finals.

To give this competition a little context, here are how these groups ranked among Wisconsin show choirs in 2015. Obviously there is tons that could have changed among the group and each competition is different, these are not a prediction. Just an interesting way to look at the groups here.
