Link is here: FAME Branson live feed.

Can you go back and watch the live stream cause I can't seem to be able to?

Results are posted. It was announced that the top 4 mixed and all 3 women's groups were invited for the National Finals. Additionally, I don't believe they announced a Best Band award... maybe I just missed it I'm not sure.

Congrats to Johnston!

Johnston got best band as well!

Sad only 5 mixed groups are going. I remember the first time I went in 2002 there were probably close to 20 and were able to have multiple elimination rounds.

I heard that this competition may accept 4 groups to fame nationals instead of 3 because FAME hollywood was canceled and one of the orlando competitions were canceled. Does anybody know anything about this?

At Fame Chicago, the top 4 groups were explicitly invited to Fame Nationals.

I think Dominick and Caleb raise fair points. I don't think it would hurt for FAME to have more transparency and clear communication regarding the Series they created. Based on these posts, it's pretty clear there is misinformation or confusion regarding how "finalists" are chosen for the "national finals." Especially with posts that choirs not attending any of the "qualifying" events are being invited.

I think over-communication is better than no communication. Every competition, whether it's a national event or not, should strive for the greatest amount of transparency with spectators/audience members.

Sadly, no. Last year many groups were unable to attend FAME Nationals, so the next group down in the results at each respective competition would be offered a slot. I know personally at FAME Orlando #1 last year, Clinton could not attend because Fehr judged, and Ankeny was unable to attend for understandable financial reasons and waiting approval from their school system, so the invitation was then extended to ATSC and Brea Olinda. The top three qualifying choirs will attend FAME Nationals, as long as they can go, and I don't think they're going to change it up this year They may change the number of groups, but I can't see them just picking the three or four groups they like the most as you implied above. What would be the point of results?
Well, I just want to know how they chose their extra so-called "Wild Card" groups...

I was under the assumption that, starting last year, judges could pick any group who they felt was worthy of attending FAME Nationals, regardless of their placements. For example, Elkhorn South, Cypress, Brea Olinda, and Norwell, with the two latter groups getting 5th place and 6th place at their qualification rounds, performed at FAME Finals.
