We're looking forward to hosting 18 fantastic teams this weekend and are ready for a great day of show choir in Sioux City this Saturday!
Why aren't The Headliners performing right before the finals awards? I thought the varsity group always performed right before the final awards. Usually a JV or Single gendered group performs right before daytime awards
Great question. We made the decision to have The Headliners perform before prelim awards to feature our varsity ensemble in front of the largest audience. Every team and their fans will be in the gym at that time, waiting for prelim results, and we want to showcase our varsity performers in front of everyone attending that day. This move also benefits our prep group, New Sound, as it gives them the opportunity to perform and be featured in a Finals environment, something we want our JV performers to be acclimated to and have the opportunity to experience by the time they advance to the varsity level.

I'm assuming because they want The Headliners to perform for a bigger audience. There's going to be more people in the auditorium waiting for prelim results rather than finals.
We are excited to announce the 2015 lineup for Sioux City East's Sing All About It on Saturday, March 7th! In addition to our 3 host choirs from East, 18 teams will be traveling to Sioux City to perform that day. We are hard at work getting ready to provide the absolute best experience for both performers and spectators. With so many groups performing this year, we are moving our competition out of our 700 seat auditorium, and returning the event to our gymnasium. We're excited for this move, as it will allow us to provide ample seating for everyone attending that day, high quality professional lighting and sound services throughout the entire event, and allow student performers the opportunity to be in the competition venue to watch other groups, even during the busiest times of day. If you're looking to see some great show choir March 7th, we hope you'll make the choice to come to Sioux City East!

Hi Jeff. I can confirm that Sergeant Bluff-Luton "Unleashed" is an all women's group this year. Heelan's "moMANtum" is the only all-men's choir performing that day.
Thank you.
Very cool to see Bishop Heelan add another choir! Quick question, is Sergeant Bluff-Luton "Unleashed" a women's or men's group? In the past it has been a mixed group so I have no frame of reference. Part of me wants to say a men's choir, probably because it's next to "moMANtum", Hart HS "Unleashed" is a men's choir, and it seems like an unusual name for a women's group, but the practical side of me recognizes it's probably a women's choir because if they had to drop from mixed to single-gender, it's probably not due to a lack of women interested in show choir...
Confirmation?

I just did a quick Google and I couldn't find any conformation, however I know when I watched them a year or two ago, they had THREE guys total in the group. So I'm guessing it's all female now.

So nice to finally have one of our directors active on here! I am excited for this day! I invariably end up backstage helping my father, but hopefully this year I'll be able to be in the audience.
I am very excited to see "moMANtum" from Heelan. I have never seen an all-male show choir and I am interested to see how the judging will go.
