WOW. First off- let me say that the competition was STIFF. Everyone brought it and there were people who didn't even place that I could see winning. That being said, Olentangy... I don't know how you're not a total powerhouse in Ohio with that consistency, energy, and cleanliness! Solon obviously deserved the sweep as well. Everyone was amazing honestly! And great job to the finalists!
Nice work with the sweep, Solon! And great job Olentangy! Ohio took Virginia by storm!
Also out of curiosity how did a competition that had multiple groups drop out run this far behind schedule even with a revised performance schedule? Did something happen or was it just typical show choir?
It sounds like Thomas Dale pulled a Wheaton Warrenville South and switched their opener for their closer for their finals performance... for anyone that's there I'd love to hear thoughts on shows once y'all wrap up!

Thanks, Amir! I assume all choirs remained in their original A/B class despite the time changes, so the event has been updated above. In addition, I think the timing might be a little off for the quoted section above.
Due to the snow and ice storm that came to VA, the Mid-Atlantic Show Choir Spectacular is being consolidated into 1 day, instead of 2. The Single-Gender division will be bright and early Saturday morning. We will be eliminating Single-Gender finals. They can however qualify for finals along with the Mixed A and Mixed B divisions. It looks like the Jefferson Pop Singers are going to Martinsburg now instead of Clover Hill. With them, Hanover, and Patrick Henry not attending anymore, is the schedule changed at all?
Bummed Hanover won't be there!! Always enjoy their shows. I figured they would be a definite finalist, so it will be interesting to see who joins the mix at night!
