they told me at the competition that you should be able to order them off the fame website (www.fameevents.com) in about 4 weeks

i've had plenty of time to watch the DVD this week...being sick with mono...(actually i think i've almost completely memorized every show on the AA DVD lol)....anyway...i thought the picture was really good (the camera men just need to learn when to zoom in and when not to....i.e. don't zoom in the whole closer and zoom out for the ballad...lol) the sound was okay...you could hear pretty much every group but it was never just like a full/loud sound

I got the Finals one.  JFreak asked who was on the AA one, so I listed those.

Ahhh... I didn't know that there was a DVD with just the AA groups... hmmmm.... I'll have to think about picking that one up.

Is this the Finals DVD, or a DVD of the AA groups... because didn't Pascagula make the Finals. (Homewood would be the one on that list that didn't make the Petal finals)

The AA groups were Tupelo, Homewood, South Jones, Long Beach, and Clinton (I think that's it).  You wouldn't get Petal with that.

Were the angles on the Petal show that bad?

I'm just trying to be cost-effective and get every group I want...it would make the most sense...even if it wasn't the best DVD ever...

So is this the only place that Clinton, Petal, and South Jones were at together?

Edit:  Who are the AA groups...cause maybe that would suffice...

I suppose I exaggerated a little bit, but I would still not recommend it if you want a good DVD of Clinton (mainly cuz of the sound). I'm told the FAME Orlando DVD is better quality. I've yet to see it yet though.

The AA groups were Tupelo, Homewood, South Jones, Long Beach, and Clinton (I think that's it). You wouldn't get Petal with that.

Yep this is the only comp that each of those show choirs competed against each other.

So I got the DVD today (yay).  Half of the effect in Petal's show is lost with all the close-ups.

but if you want a good one of Clinton, I'd suggest something else.  ;)

if anyone is shaky about whether they're going to get it, AIM me and i'll send you a little mpeg sample...you all might like it...some groups (like South Jones) look really good on it.

So I got the DVD today (yay). Pretty dissapointed in the sound. Clinton sounds nothing like they did Live (I know it's like that on most recordings, but even moreso on this one) and half of the effect in Petal's show is lost with all the close-ups.

In general I'm glad I got it (probably hard to tell by the first of my post ) , but if you want a good one of Clinton, I'd suggest something else. ;)

P.S. The DVD company is the same that does Clinton's Spring and Fall Revues (pretty sure about this) so if you've ever gotten one of those DVDs or tapes, it looks very similar in quality to those.

edit: grammar

Finally got a hold of them today! Said it should be in by the end of next week!

I'm SO stoked I get to see Petal and Clinton's shows, along with all the other finalists!

Ah, I love show choir.

mine is good. It has a good sound and the angles are good. At first it was skipping a little but i figured out it was my dvd player b/c i tried another one and it didnt skip. There are a lot of close up angles. It is good
