Our opener, "Shall We Gather at the River"
and also in "Come Sail Away" =)
Hey you're from Logan??? Man, I wish I could have seen your show this year! I heard you guys did really well at your last few competitions! Way to go! I loved your guys' show last year! =)
Yeah I'm from Logan!!!! lol. and omg. i totally remember you! a group of Class Act kids made the trip to Eau Claire Winterfest and holy crap. you girls wowed the s**t outa us!!! LVB is amazing this year! I didnt get to see you guys last year at our invite but all i heard was that you guys shoulda made finals. lol. and yea we've been doing very well lately. our show this year is even better than last years!! watch for it on YouTube. it should be going up after Mitchell is over.
Could somebody please post a video of the T-Tones? We were warming up during their performance and I didn't order a DVD of them.
I didn't get to see them either. and I LOVE them
WOW...! where to beigin!
Spectacular was....just spectacular! (no pun intended!) lol! I'm soooo proud to be La Voce Ballo's captain and having both Jennifer and Ashley by my side as vocal and dance captains! HUGE congrats to Jennifer for the Best female vocalist award!!!... Being my senior year I really wanted it to be one i'd remember, and that is EXACTLY what it's turned out to be! A perfect undefeated season!..and I've met sooo many great people at the different competitions it's insane! but i love it! Our hosts (Trish, Eric, and Shannon) this weekend were amazing and decorated our beach themed room perfectly! It was so much fun to just be able to walk in and feel like you were in hawaii...and in March too! lol Being from northern (and i really mean northern) Minnesota, it gets preeeettty cold outside! But as soon as we got to Totino, everyone there warmed us like it was home! (but thats ALWAYS how Totino is!) Thank you all SO much!!! i am for sure going down there a bunch to visit people! lol and will definitely be there for Spectacular next year!
CONGRATS to all of the groups this past weekend!!! i watched MANY of the groups and they were just awesome groups! Also, i have to say i LOVED getting to be one of the girls picked to come on stage during T-Tones!!! WOW what i blast! lol! but what girl wouldn't want to be sung to by a bunch of guys?!!
The sad note is that Bemidji is saying goodbye to Kevin Chase! He's been apart of this town for a really long time and he will always be near and dear to our hearts! Thankfully he's only going to the cities, and will still be the choreographer for LVB!!! We couldn't have accomplished so much this this year without him! and hopefully i'll be able to see him when i visit TG too! I'm just happy he's doing what he needs to do. I will always remember him and how much he's influenced my life!...he's gonna go far!
i just cant believe our competition season is over...

Thanks to all the parents, students, and volunteers that helped make Totino Grace Spectacular 2009 a blast! Terry and his staff do a superb job of making everyone feel welcome and at "home." As i said to one of my assistants as the bus pulled in... "its feels like show choir home to me to be at totino again." just a great place to be and compete.
Congrats to all the groups who competed, there were so many top-notch groups in each division, and both Bemidji groups were honored to compete against them! I always say that awards or no-awards, show choir is all about the freindships you make whether in or outside of your group, and what you get out of it. There is so much more to show choir than jazz hands and music notes, and I hope everyone remembers that. Each individual performer cannot take trophies home, but you can take home with you a huge amount of accomplishment for the work you do throughout the season. Cherish the memories you make with your directors and peers... THOSE ARE YOUR AWARDS! Kudos to the directors who have put their hearts and souls into their groups and have given their students an environment in which to pursue their talents, passions, and an outlet to shine and believe in themselves.
I must say this competition was especially emotional and special for me, as it was my last competition as a director for Bemidji show choirs. I am so proud of you all, and you all have a HUGE spot in my heart for all of eternity. I knew when I made the decision, it would be hard, but I believe in the talent and the determination of all of you, and can't wait to see what the future holds for Bemidji show choir!
Thank you to everyone who cheered groups on, performed, or worked the 09 Spectacular! Everything about it truly was... SPECTACULAR!
Sincerely,
Kevin Chase
Kevin, you're speech in the homeroom (i believe it was the after performance speech) made me just fall into tears. Shannon, Eric, and I all felt the love in the room and we were honored to be your hosts!!!!!
You're girls were so sweet and I've made some fantastic friends!!

And on a side note...the one group that has the stairs in the middle of their show for their ballad...is that Westside too? Well, whoever it was, the one boy that fell when he was trying to get the stairs off the risers, is he okay? He took quite a tumble...
That was me
Yes i am okay just a bruised and swollen ankle.
Thank you so much you caring
