Thank you Southwestern! You always host an outstanding competition.

And what a difference a year makes....last year canceled/rescheduled because of snow....this year 70 degree weather.

To all the dedicated students, the performers, the bands, the crews and the directors, thank you for all of your hard work and sharing your talent with us. You provided an outstanding day of entertainment. You are all truly gifted individuals. Your efforts are definitely appreciated and admired by all of us who watch you each week.

Good luck with the rest of the season to everyone.

whoo!! this competition was so much fun. thanks to southwestern and our hosts for making it a blast! with this being plainfield's first gc in about eight years (it's our first in championship division and with our current director) this was definitely a memorable weekend. we wish we could have seen edgewood, but hey, maybe we will at state =) class b represent!!!

congrats to all the other choirs who came out. it was so cool to see all the themes and what the other choirs came up with!!

oh! and a HUGE congrats to plainfield's les chanteuse! their first competition and they got 1st runner up!!! sophisticated ladies (i LOVE that name!) deserved the win, but i'm just so proud of our girlies!!!

all i know is that we did our best.
We have a lot of sick members, and as we all try to make up for it,
it never works out that well.

2nd isn't bad, but it's not first.
Congrats plainfield, even though i didn't get a chance to see your show.

let's see if we can go for gold @ wapakoneta.

Are you implying that it was karma? Because I am pretty sure the only reason why Plainfield beat Edgewood was because they were better than us. I felt confident in my own group but I also said that Poca or Plainfield could jump up and grab the Grand Championship. If I feel that my group has the chance to win, I will give them my support by ranking them high in my prediction...

There's certainly nothing wrong with aiming for first place, I'd hope every group did that. However, I think that kind of thing crosses the line from confidence to arrogance. Just a personal opinion.

I wasn't trying to start a flamewar, I was speaking more about the bad karma aspect.

Which is precisely why you shouldn't "predict" on here that your own group is going to get Grand Champion.

Just saying.

Not sure of the rest. I know that Music Warehouse got Outstanding Show...

Thought this was going to be the one...But tonight just wasn't our night.

I think Edgewood could get Best Vocals.
well I THINK--

actually...haha...the competition's TOMORROW! let's just let the competition happen and the chips will fall wherever (haha mrs heatonism!)

plainfield is definitely pumped for tomorrow. we're debuting our women's show choir so it'll definitey be a memorable competition.

i just hope nothing stupid happens though. risers fall apart, lights overheat, members act incredibly stupid...

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE CHOIR'S WHO'RE ATTENDING!!!

Well, Poca has the championship mixed choir, "Visual Volume" and then the Single-Gender choir "Music In Motion." As far as I can tell, Poca is out of Cuyahoga completely and will be at Southwestern.

I heard that it is the top 5 scoring Championship/Single-Gender choirs and the Varsity grand champion in finals.... I am not a 100% so don't quote me on that....
