I know that this concept is hard for many on here to grasp, but never is a long time. I also know that yes, Petal was not happy with the outcome last year. I personally thought Petal should have made the finals, but the fact is it wasn't there best performance of last year by far. Hopefully time will remove some of the bad taste and down the road they will return. I know that some times schedules dictate where people go, and going to a diffrent comp. will cause some groups to miss a local competion. That said, I'd rather see the local southern groups support each others competitions.
I agree. I'm sure they were disappointed that they didn't make Finals. I was too personally. But like you said, never is a long time. And West Jones was not the reason that Petal didn't make Finals. The judges just weren't that impressed with their show. There was no conspiracy to keep them out of Finals. Laurin Mizell, our director, graduated from Petal. But hey, who am I to say where they should compete? It's whatever the director decides. I do hope they eventually come back though.

only 2 large groups?!? What happened to Petal, Enterprise, etc that were there last year??

Got the schedule Tuesday. I know the only two large divison groups are South Jones and Northeast. I've been too busy to get a copy, but I'll post it next week.
