I believe that it must be by number of performers in the group at Shelbyville. Some competitions have small mixed by school size some do it by number of performers in the group. Indiana does not have a system like Ohio with class sizes by school. It is up to the host school to choose how they determine the divisions at their own competition.

I think it is amusing that in Small Mixed there is Lawrence North, Frankfort, Decatur Central, and Whiteland...All of which are bigger schools than Edgewood, and we put both of our groups into Large Mixed.
