My favorite ballad in jr high this year was Sarah Beth by Columbia Academy. The young lady that sings the solo part has a great voice.

Congratulations Albertville Middle School "Vocal Point"! Best vocals, choreography, outfits, show design, and overall GRAND CHAMPIONS for the middle school competition. Also, congrats to Colton Smith from AMS for winning the solo comp.

I hauled this wonderful bunch of children around all day and they were a delight I made so many new friends from the middle school and caught up with old friends I am so glad that they won they wanted it and deserved it IMO!

oh ha thanks krsiten yeah so yeah some of these predictions are just biased becuse iits put up by the centerstage people but i mean i would be putting them that high too if it was me and my jv group so......
I dont think people are saying they well do well just because theyre our jv choir. If you really look at the competition its not as strong this year and they were the second group of finals last year after petal and northeast. Like i said GC is a big stretch with south jones and NE. But i bet there wasnt a person out there who said south jones wouldnt make finals at petal last week but look what happened. Now i am absolutely positive that south jones is very motivated by that and are looking to take names tomorrow. But back to what i was first saying, we arent just saying they will do well that because theyre our jv choir. we think they actually will do well.

I'm almost scared to make predictions about this comp. It could go so many ways depending on how well these different groups perform.

My opinon but I wont say who or whatever choirs but finals are gonna be different form some people are expecting. I mean Im no show choir judge or nothing, but I know a good group when I see one. Sometimes when you win a comp. it doesnt mean your the best around, just the best at that Comp. Interested to see what the turn out is but there is a group or two being left out of "the predictions" that I wouldnt really count out. But however, lol good luck to everyone. I was gonna come but got stuck umpiring 2 Varsity baseball games on Friday and 3 on Saturday. but hey, I wont be complain to much because I actually get rest and about 500.00$

my fav part of this opener was definately the dance break. It wasn't the "traditional show choir" dancebreak. It was... chaos. I absolutely LOVED IT. This is definately in my top ten favorite songs that have been done in show choir now.

I also enjoyed NEJ's version of Disturbia. I had a feeling before the season even started that I would see Disturbia performed somewhere. I like the "matrix" jackets the guys wear. We wore jackets like that my sophmore year in our opener. Best of luck to "Gold Horizons" and everyone else that will be here this weekend!

Definetely my favorite opener.. I just wish they would perform it with a more dark tone quality.. then it would be AMAZING!! I really wish they would step it up and maybe even beat south I know they really want to!

Finals will be(in my opinion):

*SJ
*JA
*JP
*Albertville censations(danget no abreviation)
*NEJ

those are in no order however I do think SJ will get GC and JA and JP will fight it out for 2nd and depending on how good the Censations are they may get into the mix some but no predicted placements here ha

I am kinda glad that we do not have many AAA groups this year.. This will give a chance for one or two people who never make finals make it.. The first time you ever make finals is so exciting..
