Yeah, the stage is great! There are more trips than usual, but it's a lot of fun to perform on.

the stage is a little more bouncy than a theater stage, but I'm sure ana will comment on that more.

That's fine with me. New London's stage sways so much our wind chimes ring throughout the show. It's more fun that way!

and I'm excited to see / HOST DAVENPORT CENTRAL - just in case you were wondering who one of your three hosts was.

You have a sick room in store, no hints on theme and whatnot, but it's gonna be sweet.

See you Saturday!

And break some legs La Voce Ballin'
Rock it out.

It's actually the stage that has the trampoline effect- you just feel it a lot when you're almost four feet up in the air on our "weird" risers

The parents have been looking for ways to decrease the bounce in the stage, and are hoping this year will be improved. We'll see- Company of Singers has two performances during school on Friday, and the other two groups will also do soundchecks/ run-throughs prior to the competition, so your hosts will be able to let you know on Saturday morning how the stage actually feels during a performance.

I always thought it was kinda fun to have a little extra spring in your step ;)

Well that's gonna be quite a leap for all of the other groups!
Do the risers still have a "trampoline" effect?

They aren't "weird" as much as they are "taller". Our riser heights are 11", 22", 33", and 44".

Most competition risers are 8", 16", 24", and 32".

I remember from past Totino threads that they at least used to have "weird" risers. Do they still have those or have they switch to normal heights?

we do have normal heights... everyone else has "weird" risers lol

but ya i am not too sure this year lol being an alumni and all
