I have no clue if it's the right Dan Carlson, but I would say that if it is, he will be the band judge. I googled "lincoln high school" "dan carlson" and came upon the website for the Northern State University Marching Band Camp. That is where I found the following bio:
Daniel "Dan" Carlson is currently the director of the Lincoln High School Marching Band in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During Mr. Carlson's tenure, the Lincoln Band, in addition to numerous regional awards, has gained national acclaim performing in the 2000 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City and the 2005 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. With experience in drum corps, collegiate, and high school marching bands, Mr. Carlson is in demand as a marching band drill writer and drum major clinician for bands around the country. Dan earned his BME from South Dakota State University where he was drum major for the Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band and his Masters Degree from the American Band College, based on the campus of Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon.
I just wanted to say that my friends and I are hosting Grand Central Station's room this weekend, and we CAN'T WAIT to meet you guys! We are so excited to be your hosts! We wish you the best of luck! We're sure that you'll be amazing!
So you're our host? Well hello in advance. I'll sure I'll be so busy I probably won't get much chance to stop and talk. =P
And yes...our last competition for the season...-tear-
But it is promising to be our best.
this is going to be the last competition of the year for us!
but we are totally excited and ready for it!
Cant wait to see waukee this year, I hear they are pretty good.
the audience should be in for a treat with 3 weaver groups in a row!!!
Wooo! I guess I'm " Waukee B" lol. ...just a BIT nervous. Anyways...good luck to everyone! We can't wait to see your shows. I hope we get to see grand central in the finals since we won't during the day. Its always fun to see another Weaver choir.

I will agree with those predictions. Except for the whole thing that only 5 groups are in finals. Although it maybe a small competition, it is very competitive!!! All of us at SF Washington are very excited for this comp, as it is our favorite one we go to!

Mr. Nelson....You are correct!! I hate sending out schedules when people may add a soloist or, God forbid, someone has some major happening in the life of their show choir and they have to be moved.
While we are a small competition this year, the competition will still be salty and could prove to be anyone's game!
The judges are fantastic (I am biased...I picked them!) and will deliver a fair, unbiased view of each show. Many of the judges have not seen a single show this year, so that always helps!
