Yeah... good comments mean nothing... great comments mean nothing... the best comments mean nothing... a critique judge who said they have basically heard all the judges say your group is a shoe-in for finals.... sadly, means nothing.

Our opening soloist on "Let's Get it Started" is Ebony Rivers, and if you heard her solo you know she can sang. When Ebony performed her solo at Mundelein the judge simply said "Well...Ok then!"

The rest of the tape was filled with great comments on choreo and vocals. Hence, NSE was very confused and disappointed when they didn't make finals.

Still, it's a awesome comp.

Just because your group got good comments doesn't mean all the groups that placed ahead of you also didn't get good or better comments. Obviously all finalists deserved to be there. Also, from my past experience, judges tend to like more traditional solos rather than one from "Let's Get it Started".

Even though the judge on the critique tape was speechless.

Explain this?

Davenport North will most likely be returning with their Jazz Band for the 3rd year in a row. It's a super super fun competition with great frappaciounos...although NSE was very dissapointed in their placing last year. Even though the judge on the critique tape was speechless.

I know almost nothing about this competition so could someone from Mundelein fill in some blanks at this competition.
