Dylan, i think Cantabile took down an extra day because they didn't have choir today :>
Or not.
who knows.

A freshman told me it was Jacob Stahn, apparrently he tore down 11, 10, and 9. It really isn't that big of a deal, I just remember how much crap you give me if I "count wrong." " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Since we both like countdowns so much, Dylan, and you actually counted right this time, I will let you know that in exactly ten days we will be sitting on a plane to Orlando.

I know 100% that Papillion-LaVista "Free Spirit" will be there and I'm pretty sure Grand Island Sr. High "Islander Prestige" will be there as well.

I will always stick up for Showstoppers. I've been to showstoppers orlando 4 times and every time was incredible. The people who run it are the nicest people and getting to perform at Disney World is just incredible. When we went to FAME branson we did not have a great time and were kind of let down. Showstoppers did have a down year last year as far as the number of groups but definitely not quality of those groups. It was kind of cool to be there with 4 other top notch groups and know you were all going to get 2 chances to impress the judges. With that said, which ever competition your group is going with is cool. Its fun to go so far away and perform in front of people who you usually don't see.

Best of luck to everyone there this year!

I agree 100%. We've only attended one Fame event, the Show Choir Cup in Branson, and I have to give the nod to Showstoppers.

It's a little bit of an apples to oranges comparison though since my preference has more to do with activities outside of the performance. Our kids were not excited by the Branson shows or the dinner on the boat. At Disney you get to see amazing performers like Tomorrowland Blast and the Voices of Liberty. Bored and looking for something to do on your free day? How about you choose from Animal Kingdom, Disney/MGM Studios, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, a water park or two, Downtown Disney, Disney Boardwalk, etc., etc., etc.?

I've also been very happy with the professionalism of every single Showstoppers or Disney Magic Music Days staffer I've encountered. The competition seems to run like clockwork whether they have 5 or 15 groups competing.

I'm not sure why Alex Sparks has it in for Showstoppers, but I personally get tired of reading his annual "Showstoppers Sucks" topics and posts. Alex, have you ever attended a Showstoppers event as a participant? Can you give an opinion based on your experience as a participant in the event or are you just making assumptions and basing your opinion on the number of groups that have attended the last few years?
