My predictions for this event are as follows:

Mixed
GC: Roncalli Royal Rhapsody (BV, BC)
1RU: Huntington North Varsity Singers (BB)
2RU: Pendleton Heights Pendletones
3RU: DeKalb Classic Connection

Treble
GC: Pendleton Heights Emerald Suites (BV, BC)
1RU: Huntington North Viking Volume (BB)
2RU: New Palestine Diamond Sensations
3RU: Pendleton Heights New Edition


I would like to preface by saying this is what I BELIEVE should be the outcome; however, this is an ISSMA site. I do not believe I have seen an ISSMA site all year where I fully agree with the final listing of placements- whether that is for first place or for any place. Please hire judges that ALL have show choir experience and are qualified to determine a State Championship- even if a few of the best schools are not in attendance...

I could also see Pendletones taking 1RU at this event, just depending on who brings it this weekend and again- judging.

I think it’ll be super close in both divisions this year. Huntington only competed in the small division once this year. If they had competed exclusively in the small division they would’ve have won just as many GC as the other top two groups this year. Either way good luck to all competing choirs.

PREDICTIONS:

I'm only doing first 4 placements for each division!

MIXED:

GC: Roncalli "Royal Rhapsody". (BV) (BC)
1RU: Huntington North "Varsity Singers" (BB)
2RU: Pendleton Heights "Pendletones"
3RU: DeKalb "Classic Connection"

TREBLE:

GC: Pendleton Heights "Emerald Suites" (BV) (BC)
1RU: Huntington North "Viking Volume" (BB)
2RU: Pendleton Heights "New Edition"
3RU: New Palestine "Diamond Sensations"

Huntington North has always had an impressive band, so I feel as though they will definitely take band as they did last year, however, Roncalli and Pendleton have seriously had some solid seasons this year. I believe Roncalli will take the win for mixed due to their numerous wins over Pendletones. However, I do feel as though the score between Pendletones and Varsity Singers will be close. It might be a close cut as to who takes the second place spot, but Roncalli in my opinion will win this year.


As for the Treble division, Pendleton Heights Emerald Suites have had a VERY clean season, taking GC at every single competition as well as taking every caption, and winning numerous other captions such as best soloist and I believe. Costumes. Emerald Suites is a small school powerhouse like Huntington North, but I strongly believe they'll take the win this year!

The predictions wheel is currently limited to only one prediction; however, folks can make unlimited predictions in the comments. For example, the ISSMA Small Finals 2019 page had numerous predictions in the comments. Just an idea for folks to contribute to the treble division discussion!
