Tom Westfall received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University in 1995 and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wright State University in 2003. At Piqua High School, Mr. Westfall teaches Men’s and Women’s Chrous, Show Choir and Concert Choir. The Choirs at PHS are very active in the OMEA Large Group contests at both District and State levels. Mr Westfall has also worked on the past 20 PHS Musicals and is excited to direct this years production. Mr. Westfall is the Department Chair for music in the Piqua City Schools and was a finalist for Teacher of the Year in 2001, 2003 and 2006 and winner of the award in 2009 for the district.
Outside of school, Mr. Westfall stays very busy as president, founder, and director of Music Warehouse. In the summer, he directs a summer showcase featuring 200+ area youth. He has also served as director of Community Chorus. In addition to being a member of ACDA and OMEA, Mr. Westfall serves on the Mills Brothers Scholarship Committee.
Mr. Westfall is a proud PHS alumnus where he spent three years as a member and former dance captain of “The Company.”
