Megan Goodman, Associate Choir Director, Vandegrift High School, is a graduate of McMurry University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. A native Texan, Megan grew up in west Texas and was active in her high school and church choir programs. That grew into a love of choral music and teaching. Megan taught for 11 years at Marble Falls Middle School growing the program from 30 students to almost 300, with 7 performing choirs.
Her choirs have consistently received UIL sweepstakes and Best in class awards. Over the years, Megan has also been an active voice teacher, judge, TMEA Clinician, and choir clinician in the area. She loves helping students find their passion for music. Megan has received many accolades including being voted Most Valuable Teacher by MFMS in the fall of 2010, was named MFMS Teacher of the Year 2011-2012 and was the TMEA/UIL Region 26 Middle School Coordinator for three years.
She has sung with Austin Civic Chorus and the Austin Symphony and served as the Alto Section leader for two years there. In her free time Megan loves spending time with family, her dogs, and traveling.
