Leslie Riedel is a 1997 graduate from Marshall University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. Leslie has been teaching vocal music for the past 20 years and now is the new director of the VIP's. Prior to coming to Capital High School she has taught in Wayne County, vocal music in Ohio and Cabell County Schools in WV. While teaching vocal music, Leslie has served as the WVMEA Vocal Music Association President, the WVMEA All State Choir Chair and WVMEA State Show Choir Chair. While at Marshall University she was a drum major for The Marching Thunder. She had the opportunity to direct, Hail to the Chief for President Bill Clinton upon the beginning of his 2nd Presidential campaign in 1996. Leslie has directed a senior adult choir and Praise Team as a member of Highlawn Baptist Church and grew up being the assistant organist at Zoar Baptist Church. Leslie resides in Culloden, WV with her dtwo children, Katie and Phillip.
