Katelyn Larson is a choir director at Stillwater Area High School and a private voice teacher in St. Paul, MN. Her teaching experience includes work at the middle and high school level in both vocal and general music. Prior to teaching in Stillwater, Katelyn taught at St. Francis High School where she directed the curricular treble choirs and the junior varsity show choir, Prima Voce. She frequently serves as an MSHSL contest judge and voice clinician around the state of Minnesota. Katelyn is a former associate editor of the American Choral Director's “Star of the North” online publication and remains an active member of the Minnesota Music Educators Association, frequently serving as a section coach for the MN All-State Choirs. She is currently the interim director of the Colonial Chorale in Edina, MN and looks forward to teaching the undergraduate vocal pedagogy course at the University of St. Thomas in the fall of 2019. Katelyn received her Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College in 2011 and her Master of Arts degree in music education and choral conducting from the University of St. Thomas in 2018.
