Katie realized her love for performing through the six years she was a singer/dancer in both Fairfield MS "Rhythm Express" and Fairfield HS "Choraliers". After graduating from Fairfield in 2009, she went on to study Vocal Performance at Otterbein University, and was seen in roles from various operas including The Magic Flute, Hansel and Gretel, La Boehme, HMS Pinafore, and many others. After graduating with her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in the spring of 2013, it seemed fitting to come back to where it all started and share her talents with the kids of Fairfield. She is now assistant directing the three Fairfield show choirs and gives voice lessons in her spare time.
