Ms. Raegan Grantham joined Round Rock High School in Fall 2017 as Associate Choral Director and is beyond excited about joining the expanding Dragon “choir family”. Ms. Grantham has enjoyed the musicianship and passion for achievement that exists in RRISD Fine Arts. She spent 4 years teaching at Chisholm Trail, and has grown to love the RRHS community and the students that walk in and out of her room each day.
Raegan is a native of Southeast Texas. She is an alumnus of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude with honors and received a Bachelor of Music degree in choral education in 2012. While in college, Ms. Grantham attended and performed with the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.
In previous years, Ms. Grantham’s students have received superior ratings on Stage & in Sight-Reading at U.I.L Concert and Sight-Reading Contest. Her students have also received many high remarks from judges at various festivals. She will work closely with Mr. McCaffity to continue the high level of musicianship and excellence that Dragon Nation has come to expect.
In years past, Raegan has appreciated the experience of living in large cities all across Texas, but is pleased to continue to call Austin her home. She enjoys yoga, crafts, outdoors, adventurous trips, and most of all, her schnauzer, August.
