Show Choir Community Personnel Keith Abrahamson
Mr. Abrahamson was born and raised in South Windsor, Connecticut. Under the direction of many outstanding music teachers, directors, and mentors, Mr. A learned how to play piano, trombone, and sing. In High School he was the Drum Major of the Marching Band for two years, leads in the plays and musicals, and was very involved in the choral department, especially the competitive Show Choir Choral Spectrum.
Mr. A earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2011 from the University of Delaware. He was a member of the world-renowned UD Chorale and got to tour China and Spain. He was also the Director and Primary Arranger for the University of Delaware Deltones a cappella group, which he led to compete on season three of NBC's a cappella competition show, The Sing-Off (they ended up losing to Pentatonix, among many other fantastic groups).
After college, Mr. A worked for a year at the Music Training Center in Montgomeryville, PA before getting a job as a Long-Term Substitute Choral Director at Brandywine Heights High School in Topton, PA. He came to Governor Mifflin in the fall of 2013 and currently teaches Concert Choir, Governors and First Ladies, New Arrangement, Ambassadors, Beginner Keyboarding, and 3rd Grade General Music at Cumru Elementary School.
Mr. A lives in Phoenixville, PA with his wife Allie and dog Oakley.
