Mrs. Rhodes was born in Abilene, TX but spent most of her growing up years in Kansas. She was in choir all through her school years and knew that she wanted to be a choir director when she was in the 7th grade. Mrs. Rhodes received her bachelor's degree in Music Education from Lubbock Christian University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with honors. She also did some graduate work at Texas Tech University. Mrs. Rhodes has been teaching choir for 14 years. This is Mrs. Rhodes 2nd year at Rouse High School. For 7 years she developed a successful choir program at Leander Middle School. She’s looking forward to working with the wonderful students at Rouse and she is so excited to be a part of the Raider Choir family! Mrs. Rhodes and her husband Kevin have been married for 30 years and have a daughter, Renee, and a son, Jason. Other members of her family are her 9 year old Bichon Frise named Hahli (pronounced "Holly") and her 1 year old cat named Spinx.
