Tony Dam is in his third year as Associate Director of Vocal Music at Waukee High School, where he directs a mixed choir, two treble clef ensembles, Spirit (show choir), and Soundcheck (jazz choir). Prior to teaching at Waukee, Mr. Dam taught 7-12 Vocal Music at the PCM Community School District in Monroe, Iowa. In addition to his duties at PCM, he served as an assistant director at Waukee High School for the award winning show choirs, Millennium and Nova.
Graduating with distinction, Mr. Dam received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 2019, where he studied under Dr. James Rodde. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University studying with Dr. David Rayl, Dr. Jonathan Reed, Dr. Sandra Snow, and Dr. Derrick Fox. In addition to his duties at Waukee, Tony is an active member of ACDA and ICDA.
