Michael Rose is a Charleston, WV native. Michael attended Sissonville High School and Capital High School where he was a member of the “Touch of Class” and “Voices in Perfection” show choirs respectively. After graduation he attended Marshall University where he was a member of the chamber choir, university chorus, opera theatre, acapella ensemble, and marching thunder. Michael also taught studio voice to undergraduate voice students and was a graduate conducting assistant to the University Chorus and Choral Union. He now holds his B.F.A. and M.A. in vocal music performance from Marshall. Michael has also appeared as a featured soloist with the West Virginia Symphony Chorus for their productions of J.S. Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" and G. F. Handel's "Messiah." Michael has served as the music director and conductor for productions of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "Shrek: The Musical!" and "School House Rock: Live!" His other stage credits encompass musical theatre, oratorio, and opera in the Huntington and Charleston, WV communities. Michael has also worked as a leadership consultant and director of the “Men of Song” Chorus for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia – the country’s oldest and largest secret fraternal society in music. Michael is proud to serve Rhythm in Red as their assistant director, accompanist, and voice coach.
