Alexander Tapp (FKA; Wampler, O'Connor) is an arranger/composer and choreographer from Kettering, OH. An alumnus of Marysville High School, he was a member of the "Swingers Unlimited" Large Mixed show choir at Marysville from 2013-2016, and started arranging and choreographing in high school.
After attending the inaugural year of Deke Sharon's "Camp A Cappella" in Columbus, OH, Alex began arranging and choreographing for local A Cappella groups soon after. He has worked with groups such as "Delilah," "Six Appeal," "Street Corner Symphony," "The Filharmonic," "ForeFront Barbershop Quartet," "The Exchange," and Grammy Award-Winning vocal powerhouse "Pentatonix." After beginning to arrange for A Cappella groups around Ohio, Alex began to choreograph and arrange for Show Choirs within driving distance while he was still in school. From 2013-2016 he arranged over two dozen pieces for Marysville and 75+ for schools outside of Columbus.
Alex is the youngest and only student recipient of a FAME Aspire Award, awarded in 2016 for Spirit of Service to the art of competitive Show Choir.
In December of 2016 Alex took over as Director at Colerain High School in Cincinnati, OH, two weeks prior to their first scheduled competition. While pursuing 24 credit hours as a freshman at Xavier University, he choreographed for six schools in Ohio, arranged over 50 charts for the 2017-18 competitive season, and was able to finish with a GC and Runner-Up respectively in Colerain's last two 2017 competitions.
Though a forever-great passion and hobby, Alex is no longer involved in high school Show Choir. He resides in Cincinnati, OH with his three cats. He is an avid Pokemon collector in his free time and is a member of MENSA.
