Katie DiCicco is a choreographer based out of Dallas, TX. For over 10 years, Katie performed professionally in stage and film productions in Chicago and Los Angeles. Her credits include music videos, independent films, commercials, industrials, musical revue shows, and musical theater productions "Jesus Christ Superstar," "West Side Story," "Godspell," and a lead role in an original musical tour "With One Voice." She received the Flameworthy Nomination for Hottest Video of the Year for her choreography in Trace Adkins music video "Chrome." In addition to her choreography, she was a personal trainer to dancers in preparation for the grueling demands of a long run in a production, including the Radio City Rockettes.
Over the last 18 years, Katie has been choreographing for musical theater productions, dance programs, and show choirs nationwide. Her groups consistently place in the finals at regional and national contests in addition to bringing home Best Choreography accolades. She has had the honor of being on staff at International Music Camp, Eastern Illinois Music Camp, Show Choir Camps of America, Disneyland Music Camp, Butler Show Choir Showcase, and University of Southern Mississippi Show Choir Camp. She serves as a chairperson and program developer for the music educator mentorship company Choral Strategies based out of Nebraska. Katie is most passionate about her current project as Founder of the Wear It Backwards Foundation. The foundation sells t-shirts where the text is printed in a mirror image so when dancers rehearse, the words can be read correctly. The foundation benefits families who have children in long term medical care. Artists all around the country Wear It Backwards To Pay It Forward.
But, her favorite role she has ever played is as the mother of two amazing boys Ty and Jasper!
