Mr. Hurley is returning to his roots by returning to Beavercreek. Mr. Hurley graduated from Beavercreek High School in 2005 and Miami University in 2009. He was in Rainbow Connection in middle school (now simply called Connection) and Friends Show Choir in high school. Mr. Hurley was also a very active member of the Beavercreek Band Program and marched with the Beavercreek Marching Band for all four years. For the first 5 years of his career, he taught 5th grade through 12th grade choir and started a show choir called Shades of Blue at Brookville Local Schools.
Mr. Hurley is no stranger to the stage as he has directed numerous musicals along with participating in many stage productions as a performer. Mr. Hurley finds it necessary to continue to perform himself so he may practice what he teaches. He finds the constant real firsthand experience gives him the ability to truly understand what his students go through when they step on stage and this makes his teaching more effective.
