Jamie Logan
JAMIE LOGAN has been in the Southeast Polk Community School District since 2005, where she first served as Director of Vocal Music at SEP Junior High School before her arrival in the High School Music Department in 2012. Mrs. Logan conducts the Chamber Singers, Southeast Polk’s premier choral ensemble, the Treble Clef Choir, teaches private voice, and is artistic director of Southeast Polk’s junior varsity show choir, Vocal Gold.

Under her direction, Vocal Gold has been recognized for its excellence in performance and innovative programming with top honors at competitions throughout the state and region. Her students continue to be successful at State Solo/Ensemble and Large Group Contest, and are consistently selected for participation in the Iowa All-State Choir, ISU Honor Choir, and Wartburg Honor Choir.

Mrs. Logan was born and raised in Stuart, IA and graduated from West Central (Valley) before attending Simpson College. During her time at Simpson, Jamie served as the student conductor for the Simpson Chorale, Simpson Choir, and Mu Phil Epsilon, and was the chorus master for Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffman, as well as Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Jamie spent the summer of 2001 working for the Des Moines Metropolitan Opera and was a private conducting student of artistic and musical director, Dr. Robert L. Larsen.

After graduation, Mrs. Logan directed the 6-12 grade choirs at Nodaway Valley. Under her direction, the choirs received Division I ratings at State Large Group Contest and students were selected for the Iowa OPUS Honor Choir and the Iowa All-State Festival each year. Mrs. Logan also served as both the stage and musical director for the musicals, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, ANNIE, and CINDERELLA.
