Ly is a contemporary vocal artist and educator specializing in jazz and pop music. She joins Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music as professor in Jazz Voice and serves as the Director of the Singing Hoosiers and private voice instructor for the Jazz Studies program. Among her diverse vocal experiences, she has been featured as a soloist with combos, big bands and orchestras, as a studio vocalist, and as a performer at Walt Disney World where she performed with legendary artists Joe Williams, Rosemary Clooney, Dianne Reeves and Diane Schuur. Her solo CD, “The Call,” was released to critical acclaim in 2010. A prolific arranger, Wilder’s works have been performed by university and high school groups internationally.
She is in demand as an adjudicator/clinician for festivals throughout the nation and has conducted All-State Vocal Jazz Ensembles and Show Choirs in Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Washington and Wisconsin. Ly has taught on the staff of Showchoir Camps of America since 2003 and at the Steve Zegree Vocal Jazz Camp at IU.
