Christine DeMore was the vocal music director at David Starr Jordan Middle School in Burbank, California. During her 21-year tenure, her choirs were the highest-ranked, award-winning middle school in classical and show choir competitions in Southern California. She has served on the faculties of California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, and as adjunct faculty in the Master of Arts teaching program at the University of Southern California. In 2008, she was awarded the Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year award, in 2013 the National Association for Music Educators Outstanding Educator Award for the southern section of California, and in 2014 the Education Through Music Los Angeles teacher of the year award. She is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University. Christine and her husband David lovingly have two children and five grandchildren.
