LARA MOFFET MENARD hails from Mt. Zion, Illinois and has been involved in the show choir world since her high school days of big hair and character shoes. At the age of 18, she auditioned for Walt Disney World and was a featured singer dancer in a one woman show at the Magic Kingdom. Lara soon realized her passion and attended Millikin University, where she received her BFA in musical Theatre and a double minor in Dance and Communications. She has entertained audiences on cruise ships, in variety shows, and has been featured with various symphonies. Lara spent eight years touring with the world renowned Radio City Rockettes in the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular.” She is a long time member of the professional Actors unions, Actors Equity & AGVA, and has been seen in numerous professional theatre productions throughout the country. Some of her favorite roles include: Yente in Fiddler on the Roof, Anita in West Side Story, Rizzo in Grease, and Cassie in A Chorus Line. When not onstage, Lara enjoys choreographing for various show choirs and conducting musical theatre and audition workshops for eager high school students who want to pursue a career in entertainment. She resides in Branson, Missouri with her husband, Luke and future entertainer-in-training, Hope.
