Dianne Pittman Holbert retired as the performing arts chair and choral director at Jackson Prep in 2017 after more than 25 years of teaching. Holbert has founded five award-winning show choirs across Mississippi during her teaching career. While at Prep, she founded the nationally recognized Reveillon show choir that consistently won statewide, regional, and national competitions under her ten-year direction. Holbert served on Jackson Prep’s Strategic Planning Committee which led the school to build the Centre for Arts and Leadership. She helped create the Show Choir Masters competition which began in 2014 and has hosted show choirs from across the country. In 2011, Holbert was awarded the National Show Choir Director of Excellence award by the Show Choir Nationals competition in Nashville. A graduate of Jackson Prep, Holbert earned a Bachelor of Music Education with vocal emphasis from Mississippi College and a master’s degree in conducting. Holbert has taught private voice and piano lessons throughout her life. Upon retirement, she founded Dianne Holbert Limited. The show choir costuming company has outfitted show choirs all over the country from California to Maine. Today, Dianne Holbert Limited can be found on show choirs in over 30 states. Holbert has adjudicated competitions on the local and national levels as well as choral festivals across the southeastern United States
