Sandra Thomas is the newly retired, choral director from Clover Hill HS in Midlothian, Virginia. After 38 years in music education, Sandi retired in July and has relocated to New Hampshire, where she resides with her husband. Throughout her 38 years, Thomas’ show choirs consistently won many caption awards in the best vocal, best choreography, best show design categories, as well as Grand Champion Awards.
Sandi is a seasoned judge on both the regional and national levels. Having judged from Nebraska to Florida throughout the past 10 years, she particularly loves the chance to make a difference in her comments to competing show choirs. Sandi is a sought-after clinician for show choirs across the country, offering them a fresh, unbiased assessment of their shows and vocal quality as well as antidotes for improving both.
Sandi Thomas is a passionate, music educator that believes that together, the show choir community can help change the world. Through her work with THIRST PROJECT, she and the Clover Hill HS Show Choirs have raised enough money to save the lives of hundreds of people in Africa by providing them with clean water through their donations. She would like to urge other show choir programs across the country to join her in fighting for this worthy cause.
