Scott Hines is a free-lance director, choreographer, arranger, vocalist, and accompanist based out of Decatur, IL. After a year sabbatical, during which time he lived and worked in New York City, Scott returned to Decatur and Elite Energy to spend his 4th year as director and 5th year as choreographer. Under Scott's direction, Elite Energy consistently placed in the finals of national and regional show choir competitions, often garnering caption awards for best vocal sound and best choreography. Scott is also the choreographer and assistant director for the award-winning junior high show choir, Xperience!, from John's Hill Magnet School, also in Decatur. Additionally, he recently took on the position of music director for the alternative worship service at First Presbyterian Church in Decatur. Working through the Decatur Park District, Scott is in his 5th year as musical/vocal director and choreographer for the Decatur Park Singers, and his 2nd year as the director of the Youth Choir. In the summer, Scott can also be found playing the piano for Show Choir Camps of America in Illinois and Ohio.
