Haha, show choir's kinda a new thing for Millard North. It's my first year, and most of us just concentrate on the 3-4 choirs we tend to compete with the most.

I was super impressed when I saw you guys at Westwood last year and I hear this year blows that show out of the water. Definitely something to be proud of!

That's okay, you guys are doing extremely well for it being a relative new program!

You've never heard of Sioux City East? :\ Considering where you are geographically, the fact you haven't heard of Sioux City East "Headliners" is kinda awkward haha. Buuuut I'll give you some information. Well, they are having a down year this year but they are usually one of the top tier groups in Iowa. In the first parade magazine top show choir in the nation poll thingy, The Headliners made the final three. They were directed by the super amazing Heath Weber (until this year, hence the down year).

They struggled in the beginning of the year this year. At Westside's competition I heard many things just went wrong with the show. But recently, at Vermillion, SC East finished 1RU behind Mitchell, but East won best choreography and I heard it was close. And Mitchell almost beat ATSC at Ralston. Those two competitions easily show how much East has grown so far this season.

I also mentioned in my predictions that East, Millard North, Ralston, and Lewis Central could all switch spots and it wouldn't surprise me. It's going to be a great competition.

Us show choir folk at Millard North have never seen/ heard of Sioux City East, so we can't really pass judgment on them. Ethan, what puts them above us?

Predictions
GC. Waukee
1RU. Papillion-LaVista South
2RU. Millard North
3RU. Sioux City East
4RU. Ralston
5RU. Lewis Central

I think Waukee is pretty much got the first spot locked.

The last 5 spots could be anyone's game. From what I've heard, a lot of people had Papio South and Millard North switching on and off <1RU and 2RU> at Lewis Central's competition. So they may be close. SC East finished a spot or two under Elkhorn South at Westside's competition, and Millard North beat Elkhorn South at Millard West's comp. SC East made finals over Ralston and Lewis Central at Westside's comp. Ralston was only a few points under Millard North at Millard West's comp. and Lewis Central wasn't incredibly far under Ralston at Bishop Heelan's comp.

Very excited to see all groups here! Good luck to all! :D

^^ I apologize for David's comment. Since Millard North has only been a varsity group for two years, we have not seen many other shows such as Waukee and SCE so we don't really know how we rank among others. He was only curious, it's not meant to be negative at all. It just came out wrong. We are actually extremely excited to see some of these groups at Sloan and to even see the ones we've competed against to see how they have improved(: We wish everyone the best of luck on Saturday!!!

2RU-5RU could go any way. I think the top two will be pretty stuck. Waukee should take this and sweep, but Papio South could take BC.

Don't count out Heelan because Westwood loves Heelan and they always do well here.

Should be a fantastic competition.

Lots of great groups here!
From what I can tell, there are at least 8 groups that will probably be competing for those 6 spots in finals.

Sounds like a great competition! I was supposed to have this day off work but I didn't get it. I still might head over for daytime. It's TBD.

This makes me very happy. I saw you guys at Emmetsburg a couple years back and fell in love with Waukee. Glad to see you coming back!
Yeah I definitely meant Westwood and not Emmetsburg.
Anyway, bumping this one. Anyone else coming?

(Sorry, my edit button is on the fritz again.)

Ralston and Sioux City East are the only two choirs I know of coming.
