Question about predictions. I got groups 1-5 correct, but missed group 6. I predicted Northridge as the sixth spot, which was incorrect. What should have been the 6th spot, treble division? Thanks!

Thats interesting, because Northridge was the sixth spot.

Hi Johnathon,

I checked in our system and it looks like you didn't pick Northridge in the sixth spot. On the prediction results page, the list shows the actual placements from the competition (and how far off from them you were), *not* which groups you predicted. It's not good design and it's something I have been wanting to change for awhile, but the predictions system is super complex and difficult to adjust so I haven't been able to address it yet. It is on my list for the summer, though. I apologize for the confusion, but great job getting 5 out of 6 exactly right!

So what is the reaction? Was Center Grove as fabulous here as they were at WWS? Was Franklin Central even close to them?

Yes. They were as good as they were at WWS. The only issue they had was that their video screen wasn't working for the first couple of songs. FC was awesome as well. The auditorium was completely full for both CG and FC and the atmosphere was great!

I love FC's show! I thought there was a good chance of them taking BV and/or BC from CG.

There's a link to our live feed. It does have a charge. I wish there was not! However, the company did buy sync license for every song being performed, so there is a video available for purchase! Enjoy the competition from near or far. Indiana Show Choir is some of the best show choir in the nation! Can't wait to see you on our stage tomorrow!

Guess this means a number of choirs won’t be attending IN IHSMA this year. I heard the concerns about judging but didn’t realize it was this severe.

There’s been plenty of results by judges this season at a few different comps that have left people feeling confused…it’s a shame.

Indiana Large School & Small School. A lot of the choirs that normally participate are going elsewhere, I’ve heard in protest to judging irregularities.

I'd love to know more specifics. Sometimes people complain about the scoresheet, sometimes the judges. Maybe it's different every year. It's hard to make sure bad things don't happen if we don't know what actually happened, and it's all just shady innuendo.

For the record, these are 5 QUALITY judges from different areas of the country! Exciting!

Sorry, I didn't mean to cast any doubt on the judges at this competition. I was interested in the comment above about judging concerns at the ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) competition that seems to have led some show choirs to avoid it.

Sorry, I understood that. This is Noblesville's first year hosting, so we all know it's not issues with this comp!
