Piqua came to play. Balance of power in Ohio is getting shaken up AGAIN. Their second number calling out all the gimmicks that have taken over show choir was the most creative number I’ve seen in years. So well done!

Can someone make a list of the gimmicks they referenced? I caught a few, but the stream quality on my computer wasn't the greatest.

Hey there! Im the new assistant and I wrote those lyrics! If you want a list of all the references and inspirations for the number, message me and I’d be happy to share!

Hey folks, just a note here with awards after the fact. The Marion Harding Singers did not meet Beavercreek's established criteria for the tier II small mixed division (school enrollment < 800, choir size 30 or smaller, or new/beginning choir in their first 2 years of competition). As a result, Beavercreek has awarded South Dearborn Opening Knight a GC trophy for that division. On this event page here, I have removed Marion Harding from that division and placed them in the correct large mixed (tier I) division. For Marion Harding, this doesn't change their award profile; they still earned their spot in finals and placed 6th overall which is what displays on their choir profile page, but it does correct placements for the tier II division. I know we have Beavercreek folks on here so if there is anything additional to clear up feel free to share.

Which schedule is correct? The one posted above or the one in the comments from Dec. 16?

They are now the same. The only difference was Musselman was left off up top. I don't see a post that they have withdrawn, so that has been corrected. Thank you!

edit: never mind, it looks like Musselman did in fact withdraw. Usually we make a post when there are schedule changes but I don't see any here. So that was the source of the confusion.

The energy with which they perform is truly astounding. I think my favorite moment of this year's show is the novelty where they troll show choir special effects and the "Wings" of it all in 2014.

The wings…. The references… the ‘VERDA’ sign… genius
