Yes, this year we only had 4 show choirs and one concert choir attend our competition. We are planning on a date change and re-branding that will hopefully help us host a larger competition in 2024.
No, for the past several years we have divided our competition into large, small, single gender, and middle school divisions so that groups of all sizes would have a chance at advancing to a finals in their division. Even though our competition was much smaller than usual this year, we decided to stay with that format due to the disparity of the school and choir sizes that attended. We are already working on trying to attract more groups next year so that this format makes more sense.
Judges for our event are: Gail Kennedy, Kathleen Corbett, and Amanda Bridgette. Best Performer judge is Audrey Cavender.
Admission is $15, programs $5.
The following groups will be competing:
Ravenswood Middle “Jr. Revue”
Ravenswood “Rave Revue”
Manchester “Capital Swing”
Manchester “Touch of Swing”
Huntington “Illusions”
We will also be hosting 2 concert choirs as well. We will have a free live stream. We will accept both cash and credit for admission and at the concession stand.
