In case anybody is interested in how final placements were decided, it was done by a ranking system. The rankings for each group in finals are as follows (they are in a random order for each group)

Kennedy - 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
Millard North - 2, 2, 2, 3, 4
St. Francis - 2, 3, 3, 4, 6
Bemidji - 2, 3, 4, 5, 5
Jefferson - 3, 4, 4, 5, 5
Benton - 5, 6, 6, 6, 6

Sioux falls! Beautiful singing and powerful dancing. Loved the ambience of the show, and those soloists after the ballad.

Millard North’s show was SO beautiful. I was a little confused in prelims, but by the end of their finals performance, they had me rethinking my life.

Bloomington Kennedy really puts everything out there, so happy for you guys.

St Francis had such a fun show, executed really well.

The complexity and depth of Bemidjis choreo is stunning.

Benton’s guys number is the funniest thing i’ve seen all year.

Waconia has an unfathomable amount of energy, and that band goes hard.

Was such a great comp to watch! Much love to all groups.

Will’s analysis is spot on for every group! Great to see Kennedy getting some recognition this year. They have a very entertaining performance! Power Company AND Mega Watt really brought the energy, I’ve loved their routine all year but this was by far the best!

Was so great to pop over for finals last night! Hadn't seen any of these shows yet this year so it was super duper fun to see them all live. Here are a few thoughts on all of the shows I saw:
Benton - the definition of a novelty set done right. Guys number was incredible. I didn't realize that two of the new 87,000 IRS agents wound up in Van Horne! Kevin Chase is so good at that kind of choreography. The show wasn't as well put together vocally or visually as some others, but was definitely more entertaining.
SF Jefferson - The a capella part in the ballad was so very well done that I almost forgot it was a capella. There were definitely cool staging moments within the song and it was cool to see the dark lighting for most of the show. I can't believe this is only the second year of existence, can't wait to see where the future takes y'all!
Bemidji - Your choreography was a different game than anybody else. It had been a while since I had seen an April James group, and I am reminded yet again why she is considered one of the best in the business. Vocally, the show was missing the last 20 percent of precision and power that most other groups had during finals.
St. Francis - This show is definitely better than when I saw it at New London, and that's not just because you were able to use the fog machine here. The closer was absolute chaos in the best kind of way. I am going to miss seeing Joe Jacobsen on stage because goodness gracious, what a star.
Millard North - Knocked my socks off with how well of a choral sound the group produced. I'll be honest, I still don't really understand the show, but that doesn't take away from the singing and dancing. The choreography wasn't as 'innovative' as other groups on the night but it was still executed very well!
Bloomington Kennedy - Wow! Hello there! Great to see that the Bloomington to Broadway pipeline is continuing to churn out incredible soloists. Such an entertaining show. Not much to say besides that it was great! The Bad Romance/Seven Nation Army/Toxic arrangement is very popular this year, but that was the best execution of it I've seen anywhere.
Waconia - Home performances always feel good, but this one was an extra level of special. The band was incredible as always. The energy, vocals and choreo got better as the set went along. The storyline of the show wrapped up nicely with the closer. It continues to be an absolute travesty that comp season has to end in mid-February for y'all, but this was another fantastic PoCo show.

It is sad that they do not do the afternoon awards on-line, there are those of us that would like to hear the annoucements of the places.
Some of us are unable to travel to these sites because of physical problems.

The prelim awards are not held in the location as the performances, so it's is not an option.
