People! I am from the one and only Teays Valley Show Choir, I want you to know we came in 8th place and I think anyone says we werent all that good well think we beat 21 groups. Plus already this year we have a Grand Champion and a 1st Runner-up. So saying we're not that good is YOUR opinion. It seems to me we are pretty good. I do think this was a tough comp. Congatulations to all that made finals.

Hey, I think Teays Valley is outright awesome for the most part! But, I don't think you need to come out and brag about your accomplishments this year, it is only January...

HEY IT IS OK KEV-DOUG!!!! #1-i don't think that was bragging. it was just infoming people of how we have done. alot of choirs do it! and if we can't 'brag' about our accomplishments so for this year, can we brag about what we have done in past years?? that would be funner " border="0" alt="innocent.gif" />

For whoever asked, FC is not going to Mt. Zion.  They will be in Kettering Ohio on Feb 21, Mooresville the following week, Carroll (i think) the next week, and then Showstoppers in Orlando.

As an alum, Im pleased to hear that everyone (for the most part) enjoyed the show, especially Cookies! I just saw it at the rehearsal before they left. I loved it! They didnt do it at Southmont cuz it was the one song not done. And to those of you who saw us (them) for the 1st time, hope you enjoyed it! We've been trying to branch out of IN the past couple of years & its good to know that they did so well being at Onalaska for the 1st time & I know they made our director, Mr. Bill Griffel, very proud, since he is a Hilltopper alum.  Good luck to all groups this season. Enjoy it while you can, cuz its over in a heartbeat! Ive been gone for 2 years & contest season is when you really miss it.

i love your post script under your message...I'm the crew member who hold the sign that says make cookies not war...i think we should eat all the cookies in the world

just to add, i don't think showmom wants her kids to lie on their screen names (like, making themselves Teays06 when they're really from Findlay...ps, that was a totally random example, no real show choirs intended or implied), but maybe making it a name that doesn't identify with a certain choir so their opinions won't affect that choir.

Also, people are respectfully asked to identify where they are from because it gives more credence and accountability to what they say.

Do you really think Teays Valley is going to go to competitions that are both 8 hours away, on consecutive weeks? I think not. So you must not know that much about them at all. While I disagree with any policy that asks students not to post, especially as a parent I thought you would be respectful of that, as I am. How are directors "rating" themselves? That made no sense whatsoever.

Well Showmom1, it is a directors choice and we all need to respect that they don't want their kids saying things on here. You said something about lying on the SN's or something, well that is lying to your director and you shouldn't do that.

Get on to Milton, or where ever you compete next weekend. Also, good job of keeping the site clean and giving high school opinions. Those who aren't "allowed" to post, what is with that? Do your choir directors and choreographers own your computers, or do you need to develop more creative screen names? The thing that bothers most former show choir parents about that is how unfairly people are treated because they don't always kiss up. This is for you and parents to pass on info and ideas, not for directors to "rate" themselves or get a "feel good" day. I have seen most of the groups mentioned in any of these posts do very well and have "slightly off" days. Take care, relax, and keep interacting - it is part of the DEMOCRATIC way - everyone should have a voice.

Thanks.

Peace,
KAS
