No one has mentioned this yet but there are usually Best Costumes and Best Ballad awards. Idk who won costumes (cuz none of my friends that were there remember. what horrible show choir fans :-P ) I would assume Jefferson, but I really don't know if there was an award for costumes.

Cedar Rapids Washington "Momentum" won the award for Best Ballad for their version of Make Our Garden Grow. It is the most musical and difficult ballad I have heard all year long.

I just want to give a shout out to all of the great groups at Kennedy WOW! good job Protege and Xuberance you guys were AMAZING! Oh and good job on a great competition Kennedy! RAISE THE ROOF!

Day round results (that I know of)

1st - C.R. Jefferson
T-2nd - C.R. Washington
T-2nd - C.R. Xavier (Best Band)
4th - Davenport Central

Best Male Solo: C.R. Xavier (Noah Rickertsen)

Rock Bridge and C.R. Xavier prep are the remaining two finalists (don't know the points order between them).

I've heard Momentum and Xhilaration are tied, but whatever tiebreaker was used gave 2nd place to Momentum.

I've got partial middle school results:

GC: C.R. McKinley "Classic Edition" (BV, BC)
1RU: C.R. Franklin "FLAPCO"
2RU: C.R. Regis "Eclipse"

The superstar Shawndell Young from McKinley also won Best Male Soloist. That's all I know from middle school.

I heard Xuberance had a fantastic show! I fully expect them to make finals. I'm interested to hear how the day round ends up.

lol ya you must be thinking of Jefferson. They have a concert choir competition in the morning. I know La Crosse Central has done concert choir at Jefferson and then competed in show choir at Washington.

I'm probably just having a brain lapse, but what is "CO" indicating here?

I'm guessing it means "Comments Only" meaning not scored... This isn't Harding's top group, I'm guessing they are pretty newly formed and they are going first, so that would be my guess.
