Did they do best performer and all that jazz? I noticed some of the awards weren’t posted. Atleast at the time of writing this.

They did announce best soloists, but can’t think of them off the top of my head.

I won’t post my predictions, but here is how I view this competition.

Troy Express is far and above any of the teams at this competition and if you truly believe that they won’t sweep, you haven’t paid any attention to this year’s competitions. Most years, they would never be that far above the likes of MTZ and Glenwood, but the COVID restrictions of Illinois have made it much more difficult for those groups than Troy.

After Troy, there’s 3 groups that I have no idea in what order they’ll place, however I’m positive they will represent 2nd-4th place- Peoria Soundwave, Glenwood, and MTZ. It should be very tight between those three and any outcome is as likely as any other.

There will likely be a large gap between the top 4 teams and everyone else. Sullivan and Troy Soundwave will slug it out for 5th and 6th. I probably lean Troy but it’s close.

Good luck to all groups competing today!

Yes! I wasn’t thinking that too! After Troy Express took grand champ at heart of America semi-finals, and beat Greenwood by a wowing 88 points, it completely changed my predictions for the rest of their season. But of course, all of these groups are extremely talented and anything can happen so I’m not sure who will take the win (but things are leaning towards Troy). Good luck everyone!

The tabs were just in the wrong section of the website

Yep, all good! I'm not sure when y'all made or updated that 2021 Invitational Info tab on your website, but I do see it clearly now that you're pointing it out (truly my bad if that's been posted for a while). I made this event page a while ago (last April?) and so when this page was created it was linked to the 2021 registration info (which is now the 2022 registration info). Undoubtedly, once we start creating the 2022 Events List we'll link that Decatur Premier Choice SCC page to the 2022 registration tab which will probably then turn into the 2023 registration and you see where I'm going. This has truly been a wild and difficult season to track (but nothing in comparison to how students/directors are navigating performances). At any rate, I've been taking things week by week as it relates to our Events List and updating our event pages. What is extremely helpful is when directors like y'all join the discussion or point out venue changes as it really does lighten my workload. There's a reason we link event pages in case our information becomes outdated. We understand things change, this year more than ever! Please know it is all VERY much appreciated.
