I'm a show band member in "InMotion" and I speak on behalf of the entire show choir, show band, crew, and staff that we were THRILLED to have each and every group at our small, but mighty inviational. I was working the information table most of the day, but the groups I did manage to see were simply amazing, and I'm positive all the others were too. I've also never been to a competition that showed that much support for one another.
Again, it was a pleasure to have you guys at our school and ee hope to see all of you back next year.

Does anyone know when they are going to update this events page with the results? Does the SCC staff do that??
The staff is the one to update results.

Return of the emcee!!!!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA! Any awkward moments this year??

BTW Congrats to 4th Ave! I like the new style of the show and that opener. Keep up the great work!!

Thank you! That means a lot!
I agree with James, bettendorf was so good! And I loved how supportive you were of everyone

Muscatine, I have NO CLUE how you have the patience to learn all those languages haha but it makes for a very cool show!

This has by far been my favorite competition. Every single group was supportive of everyone
It was a small competition...but it was so competitive!
And I have to add how proud I am of our prep group making finals

The whole day was extremely exciting and I think all groups did an amazing job, so congratulations to everyone who attended. One group I would like to point out (like a few others already have) was Bettendorf, you guys rocked the house during finals, dancing was clean and sharp, and vocals sounded great! I am really glad that we got to cheer each other on! Oh- and the hosts were wonderful, extremely polite, nice and funny. Over all, the competition was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back again next year!
Very well put James

Well folks- it was the SAME emcee.

I was super fortunate to catch City High and Dowling both prelims and finals due to our group's time slot both rounds. Both groups were superb! For being such a small competition, the caliber of groups was very high! Wish I could have seen Bettendorf! Can't wait to see how they do at Great River.

My predictions:

GC. Iowa City High
1RU. Muscatine
2RU. Dowling
3RU. Bettendorf
4RU. Iowa City High Prep

Honestly, I could see the top three going any way. The competition season is still young and these groups are still growing.

I thought the funniest part was him asking people how old they were. Why the hell does it matter?!
Yeah he asked a bunch of stupid questions during awards... hahaha

I'm pretty sure it was a local Mt. Pleasant guy. He just was clearly out of his element as a show choir emcee. I think the most awkward part about him was going up and standing on the stage during the tag/bows for each show. He would literally be on the floor, in a space that might certainly be used for dancing/staging! I had never seen that before and I hope to never see it again.

It wasn't me.

Unfortunately!
