Just a note of thanks to the amazing groups who attended the Big Dance this year. We were so excited by the level of professionalism that the students attending showed towards each other. Congrats to CR Kennedy for their big come from behind win, and to CR Jefferson for being so supportive of your CR counterparts. To Davenport Central you really left it all out there and truly have a great show! To Protege and Ovation you are the standard of excellence that we want our prep group to strive for and push them towards, and to Bettendorf Surround Sound, you just keep getting better every year. Mr. Berry has things really rolling this year and you will be a force to be reckoned with. Bravo to all of the schools who attended the Big Dance 2011.
I am so proud of our students, parents, and all of our volunteers, but I would be remiss if I didn't thank our Big Dance Coordinator Mr. Dean Walton for all of the organization and countless hours he put in to make this event run as smoothly as it did.
I can't wait to get started on next year and we hope to have another small but amazing line-up next year!!!

Congrats to Cedar Rapids Kennedy show choirs, Happiness and Protege. Happiness overcame a day-round deficit to beat CR Jefferson in finals as the Grand Champion of Davenport North's "Big Dance" show choir competition on Saturday. Protege (prep group) made finals and came in 4th out of 6. It was a very fun day for show choir!

Westside was in First, Happiness in Second.

Protege won prep, though both Protege and Ovation made finals.

Other Finalists - Bettendorf and Dav. Central

Best Male soloist was Ben Feltes, the First ballad soloist
